What you'll do

On our Secret Food Tour: Paris - Montmartre, you will discover the true spirit of this breathtaking neighbourhood. When Parisians buy food, they head to high-end boutiques to select the best ingredients for their meals. We’ll do the same, tasting exquisite samples of food along the way.


Your local guide will share the history behind the gastronomy, the area, and the local shops, as they purchase the best cheeses, fine wines, delicious cured meats, as well as mouthwatering crêpes and fresh pastries. And of course our Secret Dish! We'll finish our route at a secret location to enjoy our meal like the locals.


Quality drinks will be served at some stops, however if you would like more, a thoughtfully curated Upgraded Drink Package is available.


Itinerary

Our first stop is an artisanal shop, where you'll see and taste some of the best chocolates and macarons in the city.

Next, you’ll enjoy a freshly made crêpe and learn about the difference between a crêpe and a galette.

We'll then stop in a boulangerie where you'll sample classic French breads and learn everything about them.

You'll savour cheeses from the best cheese shop in the area.

We'll visit a local butcher where you'll enjoy the finest cured sausages and hams.

Lastly, at our secret location, you'll feast on all the food we've bought along the way, all perfectly paired with the French wines.

As with all our tours, there's also a delicious Secret Dish.

Find out more about her dramatic life and why she became an icon for the gay community in Paris and beyond. We’ll pass by one of the last remaining windmills in Paris, now totally privatised, then we’ll promenade down the “Champs-Élysées” of Montmartre, where we’ll see some of the most expensive houses in the capital. Your guide will then lead you through a totally secret passage that reveals not only one of the best views over Paris but also one of the cutest cobbled streets in the city!

\nNext up are the famous vineyards of Montmartre. Almost on the top of the hill they overlook the suburbs of Paris and produce a surprisingly good red wine. Opposite the vineyard is the entrance to the famous Cabaret, Le Lapin Agile, where your guide will tell you the legend of Lolo, the painting donkey. Finally we’ll walk to the iconic Basilica Sacré-Coeur, where we’ll stop to admire a view of the church from a perspective that very few tourists know about, leading onto our grand finale of another stunning Paris panorama.
