This tour begins late in the morning and heads to the Clansman Hotel for your boat trip*.


Your boat trip will give you gorgeous views of the Loch and offers you a chance to see the famous Urquhart Castle. All the monster hunting will have made you hungry, so we then head for a delicious lunch at a nearby local restaurant. After a gentle drive to Invermorriston, we give you the chance to go on a scenic walk that exhibits some of the quintessential flowing rivers of the Scottish Highlands.


Our next part of the journey takes you to Fort Augustus, a gorgeous wee village nestled between Loch Ness and the 60-mile, Caledonian Canal. We then venture back to Inverness, with walking stops and coffee breaks at the scenic villages of Foyers and Dores.

Setting out from Inverness in the morning, you'll start you day with a visit to the lush woodland trails of Rogie Falls and wide-open views across Loch Carron, two striking Highland landscapes that set the tone before crossing over to 'The Misty Isle'.


There's time for a wee coffee break as we head west for one of the day's highlights: the Fairy Pools on the Isle of Skye. This beautiful trail sits beneath the dramatic Cuillin Mountains and follows a river dotted with small waterfalls and still, clear pools. Once you're there, it's easy to see why places like this have inspired folk tales of faeries for centuries.


After our walk, the journey continues to Dunvegan, where you'll have the option to visit Dunvegan Castle, the oldest continuously inhabited castle in Scotland and the ancestral home of the Clan MacLeod for over 800 years.


You can explore its historic halls and formal gardens and enjoy lunch in the village nearby. From there, we wind our way through Skye, stopping in the island's colourful capital Portree before a final photo break at Sligachan.


On the way back to Inverness, the route includes more postcard worthy stops at places like Eilean Donan Castle and Urquhart Castle on Loch Ness, returning to the city in the late evening.
